The experimental particle physics group at William & Mary invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate to work the DUNE and MINERvA neutrino experiments. The W&M group is also heavily invested in the NOvA long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment. DUNE is a next-generation neutrino oscillation experiment, which aims to make definitive measurements of the remaining oscillation parameters.

This post doc position is focused on experimental neutrino physics, particularly on the ANNIE, DUNE, AND WATCHMAN experiments. DUNE is the flagship US neutrino oscillation experiment. WATCHMAN is an advanced water-based nuclear non-proliferation neutrino detector designed to demonstrate remote monitoring of nuclear reactors. ANNIE is an advanced neutrino detector at Fermilab designed to develop next-gen detection technologies and study neutrino cross sections for long-baseline neutrino physics and rare searches. The job will involve software, simulations, and reconstruction, as well as develop firmware skills for electronics.
